We welcome the good news of a growth in the housing market.

As we enter the bright sunny days of Spring, we welcome the good news of a growth in the housing market. According to latest data by RICS, there has been an upsurge in the number of valuations for home purchase in the first month following the announcement of a growth in the UK economy.

Housing minister John Healy’s proposal this month for better practises for the private rental market increases requirements for landlords. The proposal, which includes the introduction of a housing advice hotline and a National Register for Landlords, will encourage tenants to report any issues they may face during their tenancy. As John Healy stated himself, “Every tenant should be confident in their decision to rent as well as be clear what to expect before they sign on the dotted line.”

This creates the need for Landlords to provide better service and facilities for their tenants. Furniture Rental can be used to make a better presentation for your rental property without spending over the odds. Furnishing your investment with second hand furniture as a cost saving scheme may cost you more in the long term under the new government private investment proposal. Most second hand furniture does not comply with the UK fire and safety regulations, something which furniture rental companies have to adhere to.

59 per cent of landlords provide furniture with at least one property within their portfolio, 35 per cent let all properties fully furnished. The average cost of furnishing a two bedroom property is £3000.00. For those who replace their furniture every four years, Furniture Rentals works out cheaper in the long term when considering the hidden advantages of freeing up capital and replacement of breakages. Simple but stylish furniture can provide that secure accommodation without costing the earth. Due to the nature of Furniture Rental, emphasis is placed on the DURABILIY of all the furniture, which will stand the test of time even in the most rigorous environment.

Despite a snowy start to the year, we have had a busy entry into the New Year.

Despite a snowy start to the year, we have had a busy entry into the New Year. During the hectic Christmas period we received plenty of furnishing requests from people relocating into the UK to start their assignment in the New Year, so despite the treacherous weather conditions, it was business as usual trying to furnish the homes of our customers so that they can settle into their new home and get on with their work.

Relocation seems particularly buoyant in the New Year especially from America and Canada. Employers are keen to settle their émigrés into comfortable new locations quickly so that they can have their full attention and benefit from the output of their efforts. Renting a property and furnishing for their people creates a more welcoming and comfortable new home and it is also more stylish, effective and economical than putting them up in hotels

Another area which we have experienced a surge in demand, is Serviced Apartments. Aiming to provide their professional clients with comfortable settlements, Service Apartments have to keep up to date with trendy, stylish and affordable accommodation. Renting Furniture gives them the ease to change the furniture regularly and also give them a positive cash flow as payments are made whiles receiving revenue on their investments.

We have also been busy with products updates. We have introduced new ranges to match changing trends and to make sure we can continue to give best value for money. The new cutting edge “City” range, which comes in light oak and walnut, replaces the Town range. The “City” from our Mid-range, has fine lines that fit into all styles of property; it is built to withstand the most robust environment and also comes in a flat pack to properties with access restrictions.
